In order to awaken the volunteers and to sensitise the people about the need to save and educate girl children, a nukkad natak ‘beti bachao, beti padhao’ was performed by the volunteers of NSS Campus unit, Directorate of Distance Education on 9^th of June, 2022. The natak was performed at three spots in the campus, in front of Dhanvantri library near the fountain, in front of examination block and in the Directorate. Several volunteers participated in the event.The natak was appreciated by the faculty members present during the occasion. The natak was performed in the presence of Prof. Neeru Sharma, Convenor NSS campus units, University of Jammu, Prof. Anju Thappa, Programme Coordinator, University of Jammu, Prof. Samridhi Arora ,Programme Officers Dr  Neelam Choudhary, Dr. Meghna Dhar and faculty members of the Directorate, Dr. Hina S. Abrol, Dr. Rajber Singh, Dr. Jatinder and Dr. Pooja Sharma.
