The Department of Philosophy, University of Jammu conducted an induction programme and workshop on MOOCs for the students of semester 1 on 7^th April 2022. On this occasion, Prof. Jasbir Singh welcomed the guests and the resource persons and shared the benefits of the MOOC courses in the current curriculum of Philosophy. The resource persons for the workshop were Prof. Neeru Sharma (SWAYAM Coordinator) and Dr N. Suresh Rao(SWAYAM Mentor). On the occasion, Prof. Neeru Sharma spoke about the MOOCs structure and its implementation in the university system. Prof Sharma briefly discussed with the students the content of the courses and the core quadrant approach of MOOCs. She also stressed the dilemmas involved with registration processes.Dr. Rao gave the PowerPoint presentation and briefed the students about the complete process of registration, enrolment and exam registration of MOOCs. He also shared with the students the problems faced by the students from time to time. He patiently elaborated on various queries of the students and showed the demo of the whole registration process. He insisted on choosing the courses as per their interest and passion. The workshop concluded with the queries put forward by the students and was patiently solved by the resource persons. The faculty Dr.Panu Sharma presented the vote of thanks and Dr. Ruby Bharti conducted the proceedings of the workshop.
