Placement drive was held in the University of Jammu by Extramarks, a leading Ed-tech company through Campus Placement process for the post of Business Development Executive under the patronage of Prof Manoj K Dhar, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu.  In his message, Prof Dhar appreciated the office of Dean Students Placement for the successful drive  and congratulated the students for their placement in the leading Ed-Tech company.

The drive was initiated by the office of the Dean Students Placement, University of Jammu.  Extramarks is among the fastest-growing educational technology companies with a global footprint and a huge presence in India, South Africa, Indonesia and the Middle East. It is pertinent to mention that prior to this drive a number of reputed brands have already conducted placement drives namely BYJUS, ICICI bank, ICICI pru. CoRover pvt. lmt,  White Hat, Vedantu, Simplilearn, Pure soft, Met loan, Netconnect global, South Indian bank etc.

The process began with a pre-placement address by the officials of the Company followed by a Personal interview. An eminent panel consisting of Umer Majid, Business Head; Waris Mir, Retail Head; Chirag Langer, Business Development Manager. Many students from across the disciplines that include MBA, BBA, MCA of the main Campus, offsite Campus and neighbouring Universities registered themselves for the drive. In the placement drive, eight students got placed at an attractive package.

Earlier, Dean Students Placement Prof. Vinay Chauhan formally welcomed the entire team on behalf of the University of Jammu and placed on record his appreciation and acknowledgement to the entire team for conducting the drive in the University of Jammu. Prof Alka Sharma, senior faculty in TBS, gave her special remarks about the significance of holding such drives for the benefit of students while the session was conducted by Dr. Shelleka Gupta, member Centralized Placement Cell, JU. The team of the office of Dean Students Placement comprising  Shilpa Chaku, TPO and Mr. Varinder  Bhatia, computer assistant coordinated the entire event.
