Mobile Photography Workshop-cum-Photo Walk Organised by University of Jammu

JAMMU, June 12: The Nature and Wildlife Club and the Photography Club of UTSAAH, the clubs of the University of Jammu, successfully organised a Mobile Photography Workshop-cum-Photo Walk in collaboration with vivo Jammu & Kashmir (SWG Trading Pvt. Ltd.), providing participants with an opportunity to explore the art and techniques of mobile photography.

The workshop brought together photography enthusiasts, students, alumni, employees, and nature lovers, who were introduced to various aspects of mobile photography, including composition, lighting, portrait photography, landscape photography, and creative visual storytelling. Mr. Sandeep Kumar, mentor from vivo J&K, demonstrated the advanced camera capabilities of vivo smartphones and shared practical tips to help participants capture professional-quality photographs using mobile devices.

The event highlighted the growing role of mobile photography in documenting nature, wildlife, and everyday life. Participants also engaged in hands-on sessions and interactive discussions, gaining valuable insights into editing techniques and the effective use of mobile camera features.

Speaking on the occasion, Chairperson of UTSAAH Clubs, Prof. Meena Sharma, said that such workshops aim to encourage creativity among young photographers and foster a greater appreciation for nature and visual storytelling. She noted that the collaboration with vivo J&K enriched the learning experience and showcased the potential of modern smartphone technology in photography.

She further appreciated the initiative taken by Prof. Parmil Kumar, Coordinator, Nature and Wildlife Club, and Dr. Pritam Singh, Coordinator, Photography Club, for providing an excellent learning platform for students and photography enthusiasts.

The workshop concluded with an enthusiastic response from participants, who appreciated the practical knowledge and expert guidance provided during the session. Such initiatives reaffirm the commitment of the Nature and Wildlife Club and the Photography Club towards promoting photography, environmental awareness, and creative expression among students and aspiring photographers.
