Directorate of Distance & Online Education (DD&OE), University of Jammu, under its Non-Collegiate Women’s Education Board (NCWEB), today conducted Brain Storming Session with the girls of Jammu. The Session is third in the series.
Prof. Pankaj Srivastava, Director DD&OE and Chairperson, NCWEB, informed that the NCWEB is an unique initiative of the University of Jammu to start the various courses and programmes on broad themes like Financial literacy, Computer literacy, Housekeeping, Tailoring, Beauty and Well Being, Cooking, Baking, Yoga and Health Education, Value System and other need based Vocational/Capacity building courses of varied duration, to empower the women in the most inclusive manners.
This programme will specifically focus on girls and working women who are unable to pursue college/higher studies due to some unavoidable circumstances on regular basis. Through NCWEB, they shall be able to pursue courses on campus on the weekends.
Prof. Pankaj Srivastava further apprised the participants about the various initiatives being undertaken by the DD&OE for life long learning and value addition.
Dr. Anuradha Goswami Convenor for the Brain Storming Session III emphasis the various capacity building courses for the empowerment of the women. Other who facilitated the session, included Dr. Mamta Sharma, Dr. Pooja Sharma, Dr. Iftikhar Ahmed and Mr. Kishor Sharma.
