P.G. Department of Commerce, University of Jammu continued with 2nd lecture under Industry Academia Linkage Lecture Series, on the theme “Problems and Challenges of Start- Ups in J&K and Scalability – Way  forward” for the students of M.Com. The lecture series aimed at fostering a deeper understanding of the start-ups vis. a. vis their growth and challenges ahead.

 The series commenced with a formal welcome address by Dr. Rupa Mahajan, the Coordinator of the event, where she welcomed the worthy Guest Speaker, Mr. Gagan Jain, Director VKC Nuts Pvt. Ltd. Jammu. Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, HoD, Commerce presented a planter as a token of respect to the invited guest.

Mr. Gagan Jain, shared his insights and perspectives on various aspects of start -ups during the informative event. He also apprised the students with the relevance of skill upgradation necessary to face the competition in the market. Mr. Jain encouraged the students to incur the habit of reading which would help them to be good leaders.Lastly he endeavored the need to be humble and kind which is the ultimate key to success. Later he interacted with the faculty members and emphasized the need to use corporate sources to promote department and industry linkages.

A formal vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, HoD along with a token of appreciation.
