  1. Programme and Course Outcomes (Master Degree Programme of Punjabi) 

Department of Punjabi with its Master degree programme intends to preserve and disseminate the various aspects and forms of Ancient and Modern Indian Theory of Literature as well as Western Theory of Literature in modern perspective. The programme aims at equipping and enabling future researchers with the fundamental concepts, theories and practices of
different knowledge domains. The courses of programme is also designed

to empower the students with modern, scientific tools and inter-disciplinary approach. Beyond academics the programme will also help the students to become a good citizens of the nation.

The syllabus of M.A. (Punjabi) was revised and restructured from time to time as per the new guidelines and requirements of the university, and with the futuristic approach to new challenges of Globalization and Post-Situations.

Course is designed to enable student to have a basic knowledge of theory, history and various tendencies of modern Punjabi poetry from 1900 to 1947.

PSPBTC102 (Punjabi Novel)

To expose to the students  the history, theory and various trends of modern Punjabi fiction

PSPBTC103 (Bhartiya Kaav Shastra)

This paper aims to enable the students to understand the basic Principles of Indian Theory of Literature

PSPBTC104 (Punjabi Sahit Da Itihas-I)

To provide the knowledge of history of different periods  of Punjabi literature to the students.

PSPBTF105 (Punjai Bhasha Ate Gurmukhi Lippi)

This is an introductory course of  2 Credits only and designed with a purpose to provide  introductory knowledge of Punjabi language and Gurmukhi Script.

PSPBTF106 Jammu kashmir De Punjabi Sahit Da Itihas

Jammu-Kashmir has a very rich tradition of Punjabi literature. This course is of introductory in nature and of 2 credits. This course is specially designed & dedicated to the History of Punjabi Literature of Jammu and Kashmir.

To provide the students the  knowledge of history ,New trends and tendencies of Modern Punjabi literature.

PSPBTC205 (Ryasti Punjabi Sahit(Novel, Natak Ate kissa)

 This course is designed to impart the knowledge of various theoretical aspects  of linguistic such as  Phonology , Morphology  of Punjabi language.

PSPBTC304(Sabhiyachar Ate Punjabi Sabhiyachar )

This paper aims to enable the students to understand  the theory, history and various aspects of Culture including Punjabi culture.

PSPBTC403 (Bhsha Vigyan Te Punjabi Bhasha-II)

This course is designed  to introduce Bhasaha Vigyan Grammar and  importance of  Gurmukhi Script.

PSPBTC404 Lokdhara Ate Punjabi Lokdhara

As Punjabi culture has a very rich folklorist tradition, this paper aims to enable the students to understand  the theory, history and various aspects of folklore in general and Punjabi folklore in particular.
