The Department of Commerce, under its community engagement programme, visited KUSHT ASHRAM SOCIETY, Baghwati Nagar Jammu today to distribute blankets and winter clothings out of funds contributed by faculty, non-teaching, scholars and students of the Department. Blankets and winter clothings are distributed to 43 families of the Ashram, under Community Welfare Engagement Initiative. The management of the society appreciated the efforts of the Department in distributing the much needed requirements of blankets and other winter clothings to the needy families. Prof. Hardeep Chahal (HOD Commerce), Dr. Tarsem Lal, Dr. Sunil Kumar, Dr Shahid, Richa Sharma, Balbir and Malik were present on the occasion.The programme was coordinated by Dr. Tarsem Lal. Mr. Abdul Aziz, in-charge of the Ashram expressed his gratitude to the Department of Commerce, University of Jammu for their efforts to support deprived section of the society.
