University of Jammu Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025-26 for Men and Women
Jammu, April 30: The University of Jammu witnessed an exciting second day of the Inter-Departmental Tournament 2025–26, held at the Gymnasium Hall. The tournament, featuring Carrom and Badminton competitions for both men and women is being conducted under the aegis of the Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, with dynamic leadership and supervision from Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Chairman, Campus Sports Committee, and active coordination by Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Incharge PTI.
Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, highlighted the significance of such events in nurturing a vibrant campus environment. He stressed that sports not only enhance physical fitness but also contribute greatly to mental well-being, stress management, and overall personality development.

Physical Education Department demonstrated their athletic prowess, defeating the Sociology Department by 2-0, earning their place in the final.
Badminton (Women’s) Semi-finals:
D.S.R.S Department cruised to the final with a 2-0 win against Design Your Degree Department.
Geology Department edged past English Department in a tight encounter with a score of 2-1.
