Inter-Collegiate Kho-Kho (Women) Tournament 2024-25

The Inter-Collegiate Kho-Kho (Women) Tournament 2024-25, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, commenced today at the Kho-Kho ground University of Jammu.

Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu was the Chief Guest on the occasion of the Kho-Kho (W) tournament 2024-25, in the presence of Dr. Mandeep Singh, Mr. Vimal Kishore, Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sh. Vikas Karlopia, Sh. Gagan Kumar, S. Padam Dev Singh, Sh. Jai Bharat, Inderjeet Singh, Sh. Manjeet Kotwal, Ms. Vandna Sharma and other dignitaries, players, officials from various affiliated colleges of University of Jammu on the occasion. Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba interacted with the players, inspiring them with his words of encouragement and emphasizing the importance of discipline, teamwork, and fair play in sports. His address aimed to inspire the participants to strive for excellence while fostering sportsmanship throughout the tournament. The tournament promises to showcase thrilling matches as colleges from across the region compete for the title, celebrating the spirit of competition and unity.

The Result of the matches:

1.      PG.Deptt. JU beat GDC Gaghwal by 16 points.

2.      Dogra Degree College beat GDC Marh by 03 points.

3.      GCW Udhampur beat GCW Kathua by 14 points.

4.      GDC Reasi beat GDC Poonch by 01 point.

The matches were officiated by Sh. Dheeraj Sharma, Sh. Palbinder Singh, Ms. Pooja Sharma, Sh. Jagdev Singh, Sh. Anil Kumar and Sh. Gagan Kumar.

The Annual Inter-Collegiate Judo (Men & Women) Championship 2024-25, organized by the Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, commenced today at the Gymnasium Hall, University of Jammu in which various affiliated colleges of University of Jammu has participated.

 The Overall Championship was won by Trikuta Degree College with 20 points where as GDC Marh secure runner up trophy with 10 points.
