University of Jammu is observing the vigilance week with the theme “Corruption-free India for a developed Nation.” as mandated by the General Administration Department, Government of Jammu and Kashmir. During the programme, several members of the teaching, Officers, non-teaching staff, scholars and students took the integrity pledge administered by Prof Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs. Speaking on the occasion, Prof Padha said that all the stakeholders must come together to eradicate corruption. He further said that all the citizens of the Country must be vigilant and adhere to the rules and regulations being prescribed by the relevant statutory bodies from time to time. Prof Padha underlined that there should be zero tolerance for corruption and every member of society should ensure that corruption is fully eradicated from society.

Earlier Dr Vinay Thusoo, Departmental vigilance officer, University of Jammu delivered a formal welcome address whereas Dr Sumita Sharma, Deputy Registrar, Academic Affairs presented a formal vote of thanks.

Among others, Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, Prof Jasbir Singh, Dean, Faculty of Social Sciences, Prof Shashi Manhas, Provost, Girls Hostel, Dr Raj kumar, Deputy Registrar, Dr Imran Farooq, Nodal Officer, Dr Guneet Sudan, Incharge Services & E-governance, Sh Kuldeep Gupta, faculty members, staff,  Scholars and students were also present on the occasion.
