Enfolding great knowledge about wildlife survival and nature's varied faces, the  NSS Volunteers for exposure to the wildlife and adventure activities attended  10 day National Adventure Camp, organized by Atal Bihari Vajpayee Institute of Mountaineering at  Dharamshala held under the guidance of the Regional Director and Ministry of Youth and Parliamentary Affairs from 23rd Sept 2022 to 2nd Oct 2022.

The students selected for the camp were active participants of NSS of the University of Jammu. All the volunteers who attended the adventure camp were enthusiastic about learning and excelled in their performances. Prof Umesh Rai, Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu while interacting with the participants expressed satisfaction over the successful completion of the camp congratulated the participants and further said that such Camps help the volunteers to know the environment better and develop their attitude towards the protection of wildlife. Prof. Rai underlined that being part of the NSS would make students disciplined and develop in them a strong commitment towards social causes. Prof.Naresh Padha, Dean Academic Affairs also spoke on the occasion and congratulated the participants for the successful completion of the Camp. The students who participated in the camp included Thakur Sunny Singh, Vaidyanti, Taran, Shivani,Shallu, Sanjay, Sahil, Pranav, Manvi, Manikant, Komal, Kachan, Jaanvi, Imran, Hitakshi, Gazanfar, Arjun, Aditya and Rahul.

Among others, Dr Savita Nayyar, Convener, NSS Campus Units, University of Jammu, Dr. Hema Gandotra, NSS  Programme Coordinator, Dr Vinay Thusoo, Media Incharge, University of Jammu, Dr Guneet Singh Sudan, Incharge Services &  E-Governance, Dr Meghna Dhar NSS,  Programme Officer and  Dr. Gurpreet Kour, Teacher Incharges of the  Camp and NSS Programme officer, GCW Parade College were present on the occasion.
