The Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), University of Jammu, Jammu   successfully concluded Online Quiz Competition on occasion of “National Technology Day-2022”. The online quiz competition was held from 31st Aug 2022 .The event was started with the welcome address and a brief lecture on National Technology Day by Prof. Susheel Sharma, President IIC, University of Jammu.  He spoke on the importance of National Technology Day in order to raise awareness on the importance of technology that has in our daily lives. The rules for online quiz were explained by Dr. Rockey Gupta , Coordinator of the quiz.

Attempting this Quiz was to help in Refreshing the Knowledge of Participants. The quiz was open for all Students and Scholars of Universities and Colleges of Jammu .About 203 participants were registered and 53 participants were able to submit their quiz in time. The quiz contained 50 questions and each question carried 1 mark and maximum marks were 50. The quiz link was activated for only half an hour only and the participant had to submit the quiz within half an hour .The participant who achieved maximum marks with minimum time of submission were declared as winners.

First Cash Prize of Rs. 3000/- was secured by Diksha from Department of Library & Information Science, University of Jammu, Jammu  who secured  45 marks  and submitted quiz in 22 mins, while Aryan Gupta  of  (UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, Jammu   achieved Second  Cash Prize of Rs.2000/- by securing  45 marks and submitted quiz in 23mins and 14 sec . Mehak Sharma   of  (UIET), Kathua Campus,   University of Jammu, Jammu   secured   Third  Cash Prize of Rs. 1000/-  by securing  44 marks and submitted quiz in 23mins. The participants, who successfully qualified the quiz, were awarded with an appreciation digital certificate which was received by them on their e-mail. All the participants participated in the event with enthusiasm. The event was organized online on Google Meet platform and result was also declared on the same platform.

The quiz and lecture was attended by students, scholars, faculties, staff and other stakeholders from various universities and colleges of Jammu and Kashmir. All the participants participated in the event with great enthusiasm. E-Certificates were awarded to every participant for their participation in the event.

Prof.Umesh Rai, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Jammu lauded the efforts of all the participants for the successful conduct of the event and congratulated the winners. The quiz was organized under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Susheel Sharma, President, IIC, University of Jammu. Prof. Susheel Sharma said that such online contests are very helpful to encourage participants to sharpen their skills and update their knowledge.  He further looked forward for having such more events in future also towards integrating literacy and skill development for a New India and he appreciated the efforts of organizers for organizing the event. The event was organized with the technical support of Er. Rakshit Khajuria and Er,. Rajan Verma of UIET, Kathua Campus , University of Jammu,  Jammu . Dr. Rockey Gupta congratulated all the winners and participants for their active participation. Dr. Meghna Dhar, Internship Activity Coordinator, IIC, University of Jammu, presented vote of thanks.
