NSS Kathua Campus in collaboration with District Medical Authorities organized a Covid-19 Booster Dose Vaccination Camp in the Campus for the students, employees and for natives of adjoining villages today. Booster dose was administered to all those who took the second dose six months or 26 weeks earlier by a medical team led by Ms. Vaishali M.L.H.P.
Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector Kathua Campus said “Vaccination is an effective means to fight COVID-19 and we are all sitting here safe and secure as we have already taken two doses of the vaccine and emphasized the need for booster dose and she stressed that all adults must come forward and get themselves vaccinated to ward of COVID-19”. The facility was extended to all the students, staff members, former students , their families and residents of the adjoining villages. Mr. Amit Sharma, NSS Programme Officer, Kathua Campus lauded the efforts of NSS volunteers of the Kathua Campus/UIET in smooth functioning of the camp. Dr Vivek Sharma, Academic Coordinator while stressing upon the need of such camps said that such medical camps must be organized frequently in the campus. NSS PO highlighted the support and dedication of Mr Pankaj Khajuria, Assistant Registrar, Kathua Campus for providing administrative support for such events. Among others the various faculty members from MCA, MBA ,UIET Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Dr. Sunny Sharma, Ms. Ritika Goyal, Dr Mahesh Koul, Ms. Anjally Gupta, Ms. Avni Sharma, Ms Thirika Nath, Ms. Kamakshi, Mr. Gourav, Dr. Zahin Ansaari, Er Sarvdaman Sharma, Er Rakshit Khajuria were also present in the event.
