Like other parts of country, the Bhaderwah Campus along with Indian Army (4RR) celebrated 76th Independence day with great enthusiasm and patriotism at Bhaderwah Campus. Rector Bhaderwah Campus Prof. Rahul Gupta along with 2IC (4 Rashtryia Rifles) Lt Col. Nishant unfurled the tricolour. Officers from Indian Army, teaching faculty, non-teaching staff, students from different departments were present on the occasion.
While congratulating the gathering Prof Rahul Gupta underlined the need for maintaining sustained peace and tranquility to realize the cherished goals of growth and development in the Bhaderwah especially Bhaderwah Campus.
He said as a responsible citizen every stakeholder should contribute in the developmental drive. "Menace like poverty, violence, crime, terrorism, corruption etc shall be dealt with iron hand to make the society worth living," he added. "To provide corruption-free administration, we have to ensure smooth and hassle-free delivery of public services," he added.
2IC 4RR Lt Col Nishant in his address paid glowering tributes to all the Soldiers who laid their lives while guarding the country. “This day reminds us of our freedom struggle and how the great freedom fighters of our country sacrificed their lives to Purn Swaraj", he said.
He further added that it's because of their struggle that today we are living in a democratic country where each citizen has right to equality, right to freedom, right against exploitation right to freedom of religion, cultural and educational rights, and right to constitutional remedies.
On the occasion a cultural bonanza was organized by the students of Bhaderwah Campus and Little Angles School. Different cultural items depicting the culture of India were presented by the students. .Certificates and gifts were distributed among the participants
