The Management School, Kathua Campus University of Jammu organised a career counselling cum lecture in collaboration with the career counselling and placement cell of Govt Degree College (GDC), Kathua.

The theme of the lecture was “Business Management and Market Dynamics” The lecture was delivered by  Anjally Gupta, Faculty, The Management School, Kathua Campus JU. While interacting with the undergraduate students of the college, she said, “The emerging market after pandemic has changed the business environment. The shift from tangible to intangible business demands a reorientation of Management Education. The Management School of Kathua campus JU, grooms MBA students for new global market challenges through two-year courses. It is a lifetime opportunity for the students of Kathua in particular and Jammu in general to avail the opportunity in this professional course from the highly technical campus.”

Dr. Zahin Ansari, Faculty, The Management School, Kathua Campus JU briefed the students about the highlights of The Management School and Kathua Campus, JU. He has apprised the students about the objectives, programs, amenities and placements of The Management School, Kathua Campus. Besides discussing about the various facilities being provided in the campus that including hostels for both boys and girls and transport facilities, he said “The Management School of Kathua campus is providing and developing the students with business aesthetics to thrive in the current emerging market in India.” He has sensitised the student about the role of MBA professionals in the highly growing economy of India. He appraised the students about the MAT exam pattern that is required to be qualified for becoming eligible for the MBA program.

Ms. Avni Sharma, Faculty member, The Management School, Kathua Campus has apprised and motivated students about gaining the skills for thriving in market space.  

Dr. Meenakshi Kilam, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu said that organizing such events often facilitates the upliftment of the young minds who need to be motivated and dazzled. She also emphasised such kinds of counselling lectures for students in particular and faculty in general. Also, she stressed that such activities should be a regular feature in the academic schedule of higher institutions.

Prof. Sumanesh Jasrotia, Principal, GDC Kathua, was of the opinion that such interactions are highly beneficial to boost confidence, showing the students about the opportunities and spaces to move into, and directing them with a way forward for future in the business world.

Dr. Neha Mahajan, Assistant Professor, GDC Kathua, has initiated the session and briefed the students about the programme. Prof. Rakesh Singh, Convener, Career Counselling and Placement Cell, GDC, Kathua, welcomed the team of experts from Kathua Campus, JU. Dr. Jasvindar Singh, HOD BBA has presented formal vote of thanks. Other faculty members of various departments of GDC, Kathua were present in the event.
