National Service  Scheme  (NSS),Campus  Units, University   of Jammu, Jammu and Institution's Innovation Council (IIC), University of Jammu is jointly organized *National Poster Making Competition on  National Science Day 2022  on the theme *Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future*.

India celebrates National Science Day every year on 28 February. The day has been observed annually since 1987 in honour of the great Indian scientific discovery of “Raman Effect”, which is a particular phenomenon of light scattering by matter uncovered by the Indian Physicist,Sir Chandrasekhara Venkata Raman.(Sir.C.V.Raman)The discovery had earned Raman and India a Nobel Prize in Physics in 1930. In this context, Two Days National Level Online Poster Making Competition based on the Theme:" Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future*from 28th Feb & 1^st March 2022 was organized. For this purpose the participants uploaded and submitted photographs of posters created by them on the theme Integrated Approach in Science and Technology for a Sustainable Future. Showing how technological devices are useful or working of various technological devices. 

            The participants designed posters for creating awareness among public about the importance of Science Day. All the participants participated in the event with great enthusiasm and fervor. Certificates were awarded to every participant for their participation in the event .First position is secured by two participants namely, Nikhil Dogra from University Institute of Engineering Technology ,(UIET), Kathua Campus, University of Jammu,  and Sajal Jain from Agra Public School ,Agra while Archana Bharti from University of Jammu, secured 2^nd position, the 3rd position is shared by two participants namely Sajid Hussain Keen from Prabha Harijilal College of Pharmacy and Para clinical Sciences, Kishtwar and Vandita Nandan , from  University Institute of Engineering   Technology ,(UIET) Kathua Campus, University of Jammu,  . The Certificates of Merit are won by two participants namely Sourav Bhowmick from R.K Memorial College, Dhanbad, Jharkhand and Manish Choudhary, University Institute of Engineering Technology, (UIET) Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, Jammu. More than 30 participants participated in Poster-making competition from different Colleges, Universities of India.

The Adjudicators who evaluated the posters of the competition are Prof. Anju Thappa, NSS Programme Coordinator, University of Jammu and Ms. Surbi Gupta , Assistant Professor, Environmental Sciences, Govt.Degree College, Kathua, Jammu. The adjudicators appreciated the efforts of young minds.

 Prof. Manoj K.Dhar, Hon'ble Vice-Chancellor & Chairman NSS, University of Jammu, Jammu lauded the efforts of all the participants for the successful conduct of the online event.The Online competition was conducted under the supervision and guidance of Prof. Susheel Sharma, President IIC, University of Jammu, and Prof. Neeru Sharma , Convener NSS, Campus Units, University of Jammu, Jammu .Prof. Susheel Sharma and Prof. Neeru Sharma laid stressed upon the need for more such online meets and congratulated all the winners and participants. The event was coordinated by Dr. Meghna Dhar, Internship Activity Coordinator and NSS, Programme Officer, University of Jammu, Jammu with cooperation of Mr.A.Sharma and Gurdarshan, NSS  and IIC Volunteers.
