* Out of three available elective courses, the students will have to opt for only one elective course in the 3rd semester

Apart from the above mentioned courses, the candidates will have to earn one four credit course from IIIrd semester and one four credit course from IVth semester from any other Department under the faculty of Social Sciences of the University

Credits of course open for students from other departments under the faculty of Social Science but not available for students of their own programme. Two courses of 4 credits in 3rd and 4th sem.

* M.A. Sociology is also being offered at Ramnagar Campus, University of Jammu and Reasi Campus, University of Jammu. However choice based credit system is not applicable in these institutions
