As part of the ongoing felicitation series to recognize the contributions of the university fraternity, the Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai, today felicitated a diverse group of contributors whose efforts played a crucial role in facilitating the NAAC accreditation process. Among those felicitated were security  Deputy Chief Proctors, CSO, security personnel, liaison officers attached with the NAAC peer team, members of the University Works Department, Provost Hostels, wardens of various hostels, Manager University Guest House, coordinators of NSS and NCC, and  Convener, Publication Cell.

 The Vice Chancellor acknowledged the vital role of the Chief Proctor, Deputy Chief Proctors and university’s security personnel and liaison officers attached to the NAAC peer team. He praised the Proctorial team including security personnel for maintaining a safe, disciplined, and orderly environment, ensuring smooth functioning during the accreditation process. He also commended the liaison officers for their meticulous coordination and logistical support, which facilitated seamless communication and movement of the NAAC peer team.

 “The successful accreditation of our university is the outcome of collective dedication and teamwork. While our security personnel ensured a well-guarded and disciplined campus, the liaison officers played an instrumental role in coordinating the peer team’s visit. At the same time, the teams of Provost Hostels and wardens, University Works Department, the coordinators of NSS and NCC, and all others contributed significantly to creating an environment conducive to learning, discipline, and hospitality. Their contributions are invaluable,” Prof. Rai added.

 He emphasized that achieving NAAC accreditation was not just an administrative milestone but a reflection of the University's commitment to academic and institutional excellence. He applauded the tireless efforts of every contributor, highlighting that their collective commitment exemplifies the spirit of teamwork and dedication at the University of Jammu.

 The felicitation ceremony was graced by senior university officials, including Prof. Anju Bhasin, Dean Academic Affairs; Prof. Meena Sharma, Dean Planning and Development; Prof. Neelu Rohmetra, Dean Research Studies; and Prof. Naresh Padha, Convener, Steering Committee for NAAC, Dr. Neeraj Sharma, Registrar. They lauded the collaborative spirit of all that led to this achievement.

 Earlier, Dr. Ginny Dogra, Director, DIQA, delivered the formal welcome address, while Ms. Akanksha Sharma, Assistant Registrar, DIQA, conducted the proceedings.  The event was coordinated by Er Ameet Targotra, Assistant Director, DIQA, along with other staff members.
