Jammu University Inter-Departmental Tournaments 2023-24 Commences today
The Inter-Departmental Tournaments for the session 2023-24 commenced today at Directorate of Sports of Physical Education organized by Chairman, Campus Sports Committee University of Jammu.
Prof. Yashpal Sharma, Rector of Udhampur Campus at the University of Jammu, was the Chief Guest for the opening matches. He was introduced to players of both teams before the start of the games. The detailed results of the matches across different disciplines are as follows.
Results of the Volleyball Matches:
Economics Department beats Udhampur Campus by 2-0 with set score (25-7 & 25-13).
SHTM department beats Geology department by 2-0 with set score (25-13 & 25-18).
Sociology Department beats Physics Department by 2-0 with set score (25-13 & 25-18).
Sociology Department beats Urdu Department by 2-1 with set score (15-07, 2-15 & 15-18).
Physical Education Department beats Commerce Department by 2-0 with set score (25-11) & 25-03).
Results of the Cricket Matches:
Physical Education department beats ICCR & HRM by 10 wickets
Chemistry Department beats English Department by 21 runs.
The tournaments were organized under the supervision of Dr. Daud Iqbal Baba Chairman, Campus Sports Committee University of Jammu.
The matches were officiated by Sh. Raj Kumar Bakshi, Sh. Vikas Karlopia, Sh. Ashok Singh, Sh. Vijay Kumar, Ms. Manu Singh Pawar, Ms. Geetanjali, Sh. Vijay Raina, Ms. Ishima & Yogesh Dutt.
