Classical Vocal, Classical Instrumental and Installation events were conducted on the third day of ongoing ‘Display Your Talent-2022-23’ organized by the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu at Brig. Rajinder Singh Auditorium, University of Jammu. Dean Students Welfare, Prof. Prakash Antahal, Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Vishav Raksha, Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee, Prof. Sanjana Kaul alongwith the Judges and Teachers Incharge of the events felicitated the winners. Prof. Umesh Rai, Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu and Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Registrar, University of Jammu also witnessed the cultural presentations for the encouragement of the students.

Special performance of Instrumental Playing by Mr. Sound Mani and Juggling by Twin Jugglers, Mr. Ashok Kumar & Mr. Anand Kumar, eminent artists from Tamil Nadu was organized for the participants under Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat programme. The same was a collaborative initiative of the Department of Students Welfare, University of Jammu and J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages. Mr. Gopal Krishnan, Assistant Director, Department of Culture, Tamil Nadu alongwith his artists & team Mr. Ganeshan, Mr. Shahjahan and Mr. Amanullah and Mr. Anil Tickoo, representative from JKAACL were also felicitated on the occasion. Prof. Vishav Raksha informed about the relevance and importance of Ek Bharat Shresth Bharat programme and also expressed gratitude towards Sh. Bharat Singh, Secretary, JKAACL for extending these scintillating performances at University of Jammu.

In Classical Vocal, Davinder and Harleen Kaur, both from Institute of Music & Fine arts secured First and Second Positions respectively. Mahima and Sameeksha, both from GCW, Parade were awarded Third Position and Certificate of Merit respectively.  Dr. Inderjeet Singh was the Teacher incharge and Sh. V.K. Sambyal, Sh O.P. Thapar and Dr. Gaveesh were the adjudicators of the event.

In Classical Instrumental (Percussion), Aryan Verma and Akshay Chanan, both from Institute of Music & Fine arts secured First and Second Positions respectively.

In Classical Instrumental (Non-Percussion), Rajat Kashyap and Shivangi, both from Institute of Music & Fine arts secured First and Second Positions respectively.  Neetika Sharma and Upasana Gupta, both from GCW, Parade were awarded Third Position and Certificate of Merit respectively.  Dr. Ripudaman Parihar was the Teacher incharge and Sh. V.K. Sambyal, Dr. Gaveesh, Dr. Renu Sehgal and Mr. Sami Firoze were the adjudicators of the event.

In Installation, team consisting of Sheetal Goswami and Megha Sharma from GCW, Parade stood First. Megha Chib and Kuldan Gyatso from IMFA stood Second and Jhanvi Sharma and Insha Dawood from PG, Integrated stood Third. Dr. Madhulika Bhagat was the Teacher Incharge and Sh. M.A. Alnasir, Sh. Ganesh Sharma and Mr. Jaswinder Singh were the adjudicators.

The events of DSW are conceived, planned and organised by the team consisting of Prof. Prakash Antahal (Dean Students Welfare), Prof. Vishav Raksha (Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Prof. Sanjana Kaul (Co-Chairperson, Campus Cultural Committee), Dr. Anil Gupta (Associate Dean SW), Dr. Garima Gupta and Dr. Pritam Singh (Assistant Deans, SW), Dr. A.R. Manhas & Dr. Shallu Sharma (Deputy Proctors), members of Campus Cultural Committee, Ms. Mansi Mantoo (Media Officer), Sumeet Sharma (Drama Instructor) and Ifra Kak (Cultural Officer). The events were witnessed by the members of Campus Cultural Committee, teachers, students, scholars of the University of Jammu and prominent members of the civil society. Janvi Sharma, Sunny Singh, Rohan Sharma, Insha Dawood, Deepika Rani, Palvasha Khanam, Aryan Chalotra, Yasser Hanief, Tahira Kalsoom (Cultural Representatives) Avinash Lakhnotra and Vishal did the Hall Management. The sound was operated by Kulbhushan Thakur and Arif Paul.

On Saturday, 12th of November, 2022 the events Collage Making, Poster Making and Rangoli would be conducted at Social Sciences Block from 10:00 am onwards
