The Office of the NSS Programme Coordinator, deputed around ten NSS Programme officers from different colleges of Jammu division to attend the Skill Development training workshop for five days w.e.f 27^th-31^st October, 2022 at Rajiv Gandhi National Institute of Youth Development, Chandigarh. After completing the training programme the PO’s interacted with the Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor and the Chairperson of NSS, University of Jammu, Prof Umesh Rai, along with Prof Vishav Raksha, former NSS Programme Coordinator and Dr. Hema Gandotra, the NSS Programme Coordinator, University of Jammu on 1^st Nov. 2022.

During the interaction the Programme Officers appreciated the efforts of the Office of the Programme Coordinator for organizing such workshops in collaboration with the different institutions and Government Bodies. The Hon’ble Vice Chancellor Sir also congratulated the participants for undergoing such trainings and also stressed upon the need for such programmes which will finally help the students. He also laid emphasis on the New Education Policy wherein the NSS/NCC has been made a part of the curriculum through which  the students will be benefitted at large. Prof Vishav Raksha the former NSS Programme Coordinator also motivated the participants and appreciated the kind of activities they are doing at their institutional level. Dr. Hema Gandotra, the NSS Programme Coordinator apprised the Vice-Chancellor sir about the activities being undertaken so far and the future activities to be undertaken for the benefit of the students in particular and society at large.
