The programme commenced with the formal welcome address by Dr. Harleen Kaur, coordinator of the event, where she welcomed the worthy guest speaker Dr. Vinod Kumar, Faculty member at J&K Entrepreneurship Development Institute (EDI). He highlighted the pivotal role of entrepreneurship in today’s economy and encouraged young people to pursue entrepreneurial ventures to stimulate economic growth and create employment opportunities within their communities. He further explained the J&K Startup Policy 2024-27 specifically designed to foster a conducive startup ecosystem in the region that aimed to provide financial support, mentorship and infrastructure to budding entrepreneurs ensuring that they have the resources needed to succeed.
