Bhaderwah Campus holds Induction meet for newly dmitted PG Students
Bhaderwah, August 7, 2025 – Bhaderwah Campus, University of Jammu, today organized a Combined Induction Programme to welcome the newly admitted postgraduate students of Semester 1st from all teaching departments. The event was held at Lal Ded Auditorium and witnessed the enthusiastic participation of faculty members and fresh entrants across disciplines.
The program concluded with a lunch gathering at the lawns of the Campus Canteen, promoting informal interaction between faculty and students.
In his address, Prof. Rahul Gupta, Rector, Bhaderwah Campus, extended a warm welcome to the new students and emphasized the importance of academic integrity, discipline, and innovation. “Bhaderwah Campus is not just an educational institution but a cradle of intellectual growth, cultural enrichment, and holistic development. I urge the students to utilize every opportunity and resource the campus offers to shape their future,” he said. Prof. Gupta also highlighted the upcoming initiatives on skill development, digital learning, and interdisciplinary research to be launched at the campus.
The induction programme was further enriched by enlightening addresses from senior faculty members.
Dr. Kuljit Singh, Academic Coordinator, congratulated the students on beginning a new academic journey and encouraged them to remain focused and passionate about learning.
Dr. Subash Chander, Associate Professor, Department of English, urged students to nurture critical thinking and uphold the values of literature and humanity.
Dr. Chhering Tandup, Department of Geography, stressed the importance of environmental consciousness and geographic relevance in today's world.
Dr. Rakesh Sharma, Head, Department of English, shared his insights on literary studies and the growing interdisciplinary dimensions of English in modern academia.
Dr. Ashok Sharma, Head, Department of Computer Science and IT, motivated the students to keep pace with emerging technologies and digital literacy.
Dr. Umesh Choudhary, Head, Department of Management, discussed the significance of leadership, entrepreneurship, and ethical decision-making in the business world.
