Employment Information cum Advisory Bureau, the Career Counseling Cell of Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu organized one day workshop on “Careers after 12 th in Arts” at Govt. Boys Higher Secondary School, Gole Gujral today. The programme was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Director, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu. Dr. Pallavi Gupta, Assistant Professor, Department Of English, University of Jammu was the resource person. Dr.Rewa Khajuria , Counsellor , EIAB, DLL, JU coordinated the programme. In her welcome address, Ms. Archana Bakshi, Principal of the school highlighted the importance and necessity of such programmes for the students. She appreciated the role of Career Counseling Cell in organizing these career awareness programmes. Dr. Pallavi Gupta, in her presentation, apprised the students about career opportunities in Arts subjects after 12th and graduation. She also explained in detail about popular career paths. Dr. Rewa Khajuria,Counsellor, EIAB, DLL, JU highlighted the importance of Career Counselling to the students and motivated them to work hard to be successful in future. The teachers of the school namely Ifat Shah, Aditi Sharma, Radha Sharma, Rupinder Kour, Rita Kumari and Paramjeet Kour along with 25 students attended the programme. The students really appreciated the programme as their career queries were answered by the experts.
