Building Entrepreneurial Excellence: The Manufacturing Mindset for Make in India
The students of MBA (International Business), International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR &HRM), University of Jammu attended 5-Day residential 'Advanced E-SDP Programme: Building Entrepreneurial Excellence: The Manufacturing Mindset for Make in India' programme at IIT Jammu.
The programme was specifically designed for aspiring entrepreneurs who wish to learn about the growing opportunities in India's manufacturing sector. Focused on fostering a manufacturing mindset, the program had key components such as strategic planning, supply chain management, and operational efficiency. The participants throughout the programme were engaged in case studies thereby gaining insights into effective decision-making, innovation, and risk management in the manufacturing sector.
With sessions over five days, the program aimed to provide a platform to the new generation of entrepreneurial leaders capable of contributing to the success of the Make in India initiative. It is pertinent to mention that the programme is fully sponsored by MSME, Government of India and is curated by organizations such as IIT Jammu, IIT Kanpur, IIT Delhi, and IIM Jammu.
The students of MBA (International Business) shared that their experiences and narrated that the programme enabled them to connect with the resource persons, incubation experts, and industry personnel all across the India. Besides, networking, the programme immersed them in the entrepreneurial pedagogy, cases and experiential activities followed by visits to manufacturing setups and incubation cells.
Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu, deliberated that such like experiential residential programme, train students with neoteric skill sets, competencies and lifelong learning that further shape their overall personality and career choice.
