International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM), University of Jammu, organised a videography competition conceived under Hon’ Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Viksit Bharat@2047 campaign, to actively involve the students and faculty members in shaping the vision of a developed India.
Viksit Bharat @2047 is the vision to make India a developed nation by 2047, the 100th year of independence. The vision is in line with the Prime Minister’s vision to actively involve the youth of the country in the formulation of national plans, priorities and goals of the country, providing a platform to the youth of the country to contribute their ideas to the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The series of activities included one week workshop on Financial Literacy, Brainstorming/ Discussion Sessions and ‘Voice of Youth’ competition, where students of ICccR & HRM competed in teams to generate innovative ideas of the youth that can be transformed into nation building by inviting them to ideate and contribute to the vision of Viksit Bharat. The concerted efforts of students channelizes their role as “empowered Indians” and ponder upon finding ways to make India a developed country at a faster pace and also identify specific sectors for improvement towards becoming a developed nation.
Prof. Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, flagged the initiative and highlighted the role of universities and higher education institutions sharing a symbiotic relationship with the development of the country. She emphasized on the of the role of students, faculty and all university stakeholders, who constitute our largest youth population group in leading India to the idea of Viksit Bharat by 2047.
Prof. Parmeshwari Sharma, Former HoD, Department of Hindi and Culture Committee Chairperson, University of Jammu, graced the event as Chief Guest and felicitated the students of ICccR & HRM, who excelled and participated in the “Voice of Youth” Competition.
