Department of Computer Science & IT, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu organized a thought-provoking seminar focusing on Transformative IT Solutions: Empowering Viksit Bharat under the aegis of Viksit Bharat @2047. The seminar witnessed active participation from the students of Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kathua who passionately articulated their perspectives on how Information Technology can contribute to the vision of a developed India. The presentations of students touched upon crucial aspects such as digital literacy, technological innovations, and the integration of IT in various sectors to foster the nation's growth. Acknowledging the exemplary performances, Ms. Samriddhi Kapoor, Ms. Rubby Janotra and Ms. Ridhi Kapoor were honored with the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd prizes. The enthusiastic participation reflects their dedication, exploration, and understanding of the role of IT in empowering Viksit Bharat. The event encapsulated the essence of collaboration, innovation, and the collective aspiration for a technologically advanced India.
Prof. Arvind Jasrotia, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu in his message commended the organizers for orchestrating such an insightful seminar. He highlighted the significance of comprehending the vision and mission behind Viksit Bharat, emphasizing the pivotal role that Information Technology plays in driving this vision forward. He stressed the importance of empowering the younger generation with IT knowledge to become active contributors to the country's development. Prof. Jasrotia further emphasized that the seminar is an innovative platform for students to showcase their insights, ideas, and understanding of leveraging IT to propel India towards becoming a developed nation. He asked the faculty to guide and encourage students to come up with new ideas and innovations which fall in line with the said vision of our nation.
Dr. Sourabh Shastri, Head, Computer Science explained the concept of Viksit Bharat and the role students have to play to transform India into a developed country by 2047. He further added that Kathua Campus remains committed to fostering such enriching discussions and initiatives that empower and inspire the youth, aligning with the overarching vision of a progressive and developed India.
Dr. Sunny Sharma, Ms. Ritika Goyal and Mr. Pranav Ratta gave detailed presentations highlighting the role of IT in achieving the vision of Viksit Bharat and also advised the students to share their ideas for Viksit Bharat@2047 on myGov portal.
