457221International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM) University of Jammu organized a Session on ‘Trends and Opportunities in International Business’ for the students of Government Degree College for boys, Udhampur.

The session was organized with the objective of counseling students to understand the career opportunities and trends in the domain of international business. The faculty of ICccR & HRM, JU shared insights about the various career prospects, skills and competencies that are required to function effectively in the global business arena. The deliberations highlighted the link between positive career development starting from educational institutions and intrinsic motivation that creates high performance in global workplaces. With a vision to enable the transformation of young management students into ‘industry relevant’ managers, the faculty also discussed how the MBA (International Business) Programme at ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu provides students with a truly global management education experience, infusing global standards of management education and an experience of integrated learning. The faculty also highlighted that this Programme is designed for students who possess global ambitions and see themselves as an integral part of the global corporate environment.

135The interaction also highlighted the key role played by ICccR & HRM, JU in preparing students through the MBA (International Business) Programme which encapsulates the essence of international business knowledge through teaching, research, industry-academia interfaces, collaborative initiatives, seminars, workshops and immersion programmes. The faculty explained how the Programme brings in the experiential learning dimension towards preparing students for the business world.  

Dr. Romesh Kumar Gupta, Principal, GDC (Boys), Udhampur, spoke about the advantages of pursuing a career in international business. He said that professionals in this field have the opportunity to engage with different cultures, build international networks, and gain valuable insights into the global economy. The ability to navigate complex international markets and establish strong relationships across borders has become a highly sought-after skill set in today's interconnected world, wherein students can explore their potential.

Professor Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, University of Jammu appreciated the inquisitiveness of students towards making informed career choices and decisions. She also mentioned that individuals passionate about international business must explore the wide range of opportunities available and take advantage of the growing demand for global expertise. By staying updated on industry trends, pursuing relevant education and certifications, and seeking out international experiences, aspiring professionals can position themselves as highly desirable candidates in this thriving field.
