51256International Centre for Cross Cultural Research and Human Resource Management (ICccR & HRM) University of Jammu organized a session on ‘Opportunities in Export’ under the Alumni Talk Series. Mr. Shubam Bassan, CEO, Maya Healthsciences Pvt. Ltd., Senior Consultant Panicle Worldwide Pvt. Ltd. (alumni MBA-International Business Programme, Batch: 2018-20) was the resource person for the event. The event aimed at providing insights and knowledge about the potential of exports for businesses, and how it can open up doors to new markets. The session was followed by an internship and placement drive for the students of MBA (International Business) Programme.

Mr. Shubam, during his session, highlighted how the amalgamation of his passion for becoming an entrepreneur and an educational qualification in the domain of international business enabled him to establish his own brand and enter into manufacturing and export. He discussed the various aspects of exporting, including market research, documentation, legal requirements, logistics, and financing. He also emphasized the importance of exporting for businesses, especially in the current global scenario, where the world is increasingly becoming a global village. He stated, "Exporting is not just about selling goods or services to other countries, it's about building relationships, understanding different cultures, and creating opportunities for growth and innovation." The event also provided a platform for student interaction and exchange of ideas and experiences.

Earlier, Professor Hardeep Chahal, Director, ICccR & HRM, JU, during her welcome address, expressed the need for training the students of MBA (International Business) Programme and the Post Graduate Diploma in Composite Culture Management (PGD-CCM) with the appropriate knowledge, skills and competencies in the domain of international business. She said that in today's globalized world, the opportunities for businesses are endless and this session would facilitate students to expand their understanding of the key concepts, pre-requisites, opportunities and challenges involved in exporting. She expressed her gratitude to the resource person for bringing internship and placement opportunities for the students and establishing a close alumni linkage through this endeavour.

Students of the MBA (International Business) Programme, Post Graduate Diploma in Composite Culture Management (PGD-CCM), faculty and research scholars attended the session. Dr. Pallvi Arora, Assistant Professor at ICccR & HRM, JU coordinated the session and the internship and placement drive.
