The Office of the Dean Students Welfare in collaboration with the Office of the Programme Coordinator, NSS University of Jammu organised organised a function wherein the Students and NSS volunteers watched the live telecast of the Inaugural function of the National Youth Festival, 2023 in presence of the Worthy Vice-Chancellor Prof Umesh Rai, University of Jammu, Registrar Prof Arvind Jasrotia, Dean Students Welfare Prof Prakash Antahal, Chairperson Campus Cultural Committee Prof Vishav Raksha, NSS Programme Coordinator Dr. Hema Gandotra, NSS Programme Officers Dr. Neelam Choudhary and Dr. Shallu Sehgal. The Hon’ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi ji inaugurated the 26th National Youth Festival at Hubabali-Dharwad, Karnataka.

This festival is inaugurated on the National Youth Day, 12th January, 2023 which is being celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda ji. During the Programme the volunteers were brief about the importance of National Youth Day. It was also informed by the NSS, Programme Coordinator, University of Jammu that the team from the NSS Units of the Jammu has also participated in the National Youth Festival. The entire programme was held under the supervision of the Office of the Dean Students Welfare. The Programme was conducted b Dr. Shallu Sehgal, NSS Programme Officer, University of Jammu. Among others, Dr. Rashid Manhas, Mr. Sumit Sharma, Ms. Ifra Kak, and Mr. Arif Mohd. Were also present on the occasion.
