Employment Information cum Advisory Bureau, Department of Lifelong Learning, University of Jammu today inaugurated a 3-days workshop on personality development at Govt. Degree College, Kunjwani, Jammu for the students of the college. The objective of this workshop is to enable the students to learn basic skills of good communication and to improve their confidence. Dr. Ravender Kumar Tickoo, Principal of the college in his welcome address expressed the dire need for personality development programmes for the students of the college as it helps to create a good and lasting impression on others. He also appreciated the efforts of the Department of Lifelong Learning to organise this workshop.
The workshop is being organised under the guidance of Dr. Jeevan Jyoti, Director DLL. It is coordinated by Dr. Rewa Khajuria, Counsellor, EIAB, DLL. The resource persons are Ms. Swati Basotra, Motivational speaker and Entrepreneur and Ms. Neetu Dhar, Master Trainer and chief coordinator, Jammu Kashmir Dairy Producers processors and Marketing
cooperatives Ltd.. Ms. Neetu Dhar will have sessions on self-discovery and self-development, time management, presentation skills, emotional intelligence and empathy. Ms. Swati Basotra will speak on effective communication skills, aspects of personality- relation with career development and conflict and stress management. About 110 students have registered for the workshop. Dr. Arti Gupta, coordinator career counselling cell of the college provides all support for the workshop.
