In line with the visionary leadership of the Vice-Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof. Umesh Rai, aimed at fostering student excellence in competitive examinations, the Department of Lifelong Learning (DLL) today inaugurated its coaching classes for the upcoming JKSET Examination 2024. The primary objective of this initiative is to equip students with the skills and knowledge necessary to successfully clear the JKSET exam, thereby increasing the pool of qualified candidates eligible for Assistant Professor positions in the higher education sector.
The month-long coaching program was inaugurated by Dr. Priyanka Sharma, Director DLL. In her welcome address to the students, Dr. Sharma emphasized the department’s role within the University, as it offers coaching for a range of competitive exams such as NET, SLET, Banking, KAS, and IAS. She also lauded the efforts of Dr. Vivek Sharma, Associate Professor and Coordinator of the program, for this initiative.
Addressing the students, Dr. Kavita Suri, Professor and former Director of DLL, highlighted the department’s success in helping many students become bureaucrats, educators in higher education, and professionals in fields such as banking, through its coaching programs.
DLL faculty members Dr. Pallavi Sachdeva and Dr. Sandeep Singh were present at the event. Prof Sanjeev Gupta and Dr. Rakesh Atri interacted with the students, providing them with valuable insights and strategies for cracking the JKSET/NET/JRF examinations.
Dr. Vivek Sharma conducted the proceedings and also delivered the formal vote of thanks. He also motivated the students to focus on thorough preparation to achieve success in competitive exams and also shared tips for cracking JKSET examination.
