Translation Samvaad, a multi-lingual e-journal published by the Translation Club at the University of Jammu, is a peer-reviewed, indexed, and refereed publication. It is accessible online and is open to all. The journal’s mission is to contribute to the growth of Translation Studies by publishing a variety of content including articles, reports, interviews, book reviews, and actual translations.
Translation Samvaad as the title of the Journal indicated is a samvaad or dialogue in and through translation. It welcomes submissions of research papers that are conceptual, theoretical, empirical or pragmatic in nature. Authors are encouraged to submit works on any topic related to Translation Studies and allied fields such as Interpreting Studies, Adaptation, Commentary, Comparative Literature, and Cultural Studies. Contributions can be made in various formats including full-length articles, research reports, expert interactions, and book reviews and original translations in any language used in JKUT.
The journal invites original, respectful, and unbiased scholarly work, formatted according to academic standards and submitted in specific file formats.
Paper Format: Authors are asked to prepare their papers in both Word and PDF formats. These files should be sent as email attachments to the provided email address, translationclub.ju23@gmail.com.
Citation Style: Authors should adhere to either the APA (American Psychological Association) or MLA (Modern Language Association) citation styles when composing their papers. These are standard formats for writing scholarly papers and citing sources.
Plagiarism: The journal insists that all submissions be original work, free from plagiarism. Plagiarism is the practice of using someone else’s work or ideas without giving them proper credit, which is considered unethical in academic settings.
Inclusive Language: Authors are urged to use language that is respectful and does not harm or offend any group in society.
Bias and Prejudice: The journal will not accept any work that reflects bias, hatred, or prejudice. This includes, but is not limited to, racial, religious, and sexist biases.
