An awareness cum interaction workshop on GFR-2017 and GeM organized in the Directorate of Distance Education, in Jammu University.

Directorate of Distance Education (DDE), University of Jammu organized an awareness cum interaction session today on 22^nd June 2022. The objective was to sensitize the employees about the codal financial norms and the desired practices for necessary compliance in this regard. The awareness session was attended by the Course Coordinators, Officers and Staff of the Directorate of Distance Education of Jammu University. The session was chaired by Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Director, DDE.

The discussions were held through Power Point Presentation delivered by Dr. Saran Preet Kour Broca, Deputy Registrar in DDE. The discussions revolved around topics like procurement procedures under GFR-2017 and Government e-Market portal (GeM). The salient features of GeM/ GFR-2017 and its application were deliberated. Professor Neelu Rohmetra, Director, DDE in her address emphasized that compliance with financial norms, speedy disposal of files and timely disbursement of dues need to be enforced strictly. She urged the staff to provide best services to the students who are enrolled in various academic programmes offered by the Directorate of Distance Education. “All efforts should be made to promote the brand image of the University of Jammu in offering education through distance and Online mode”, she said.
