Jammu University's Girls' Hostel successfully organized an induction program to facilitate social and cultural exchange across borders and introduce them to the hostel's facilities. This two-day program culminated with Rango-utsav, a floral Holi festival promoting water conservation and sustainable goals for a better tomorrow.

The induction program on day one began with an address by Prof. Shashi Manhas, Provost Girls' Hostel. She welcomed the new boarders and introduced them to the hostel's rules and regulations. She emphasized that the hostel is a family-like environment and encouraged them to treat it as their home. This program was conducted by Dr Chinmoyee Maharana.

On the second day, the hostel celebrated Rango-utsav, a floral Holi festival that promoted water conservation. The boarders played Holi with flowers, avoiding the use of water and harmful colors. Prof. Shashi Manhas, Provost Girls' Hostel, graced the occasion and fully participated in the program, encouraging cultural exchange. The boarders presented a colorful cultural show, and the hostel's Rangoutsav proved that Holi can be celebrated without using water. All the wardens, resident wardens, office assistants, staff, and boarders enjoyed the floral holi and hailed it as a welcome departure from the past practice.

The program was organized and attended by all the Wardens, r/Wardens, office assistants, staff, and volunteers. Prominent amongst them were Dr Chinmoyee Maharana (Warden, SNGH and NGH), Dr. Skarma (Warden, PDGH), Dr Sonia Jasrotia (R/Warden, CBGH), Dr Bhagwati (R/Warden, PDGH), and Dr Sushma Devi (R/Warden, SNGH) and Dr Radhika, (R/Warden, NGH). Office Assistants Mrs Rupinder Kour, Mrs. Seema, Mrs Dimple, and Mrs Jyotsna were also present.
