Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, University of Jammu, Prof Umesh Rai applauded the NSS Volunteers, who had returned back after participating in the Republic Day Camp held at New Delhi this year. The volunteers shared their experiences of reaching from “Path to Kartavya Path”.

During the camp NSS volunteers are provided opportunities to meet many eminent personalities of different fields. The camp organisers invite the eminent personalities to boost the morale of NSS volunteers and the volunteers interact with them. It also helps the volunteers to broaden their knowledge base. To name a few, the Hon’ble President of India, Hon’ble Vice President of India, Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports and other Eminent Personalities in the field of Education, Health, Social Service, Science & Technology, Sports, Environment, Fine Arts, Art & Culture, have addressed the volunteers. 

Prof Vishav Raksha, Convenor, NSS Campus Units and Dr. Hema Gandotra, Programme Coordinator, NSS congratulated the volunteers for their selfless and committed journey as a NSS volunteer. They further congratulated their Programme Officers at the college level and their respective Principals who supported them throughout their journey.

The NSS volunteers who were selected among others from different states of India included Mr. Nirbhey Khajuria, MIER college, Ms. Swati Chib, Govt College for Women, Parade and Ms. Aarushi Verma from Bhaskar Degree College. Among others who were present on the occasion were Dr. Shallu Sehgal, Dr. Monika Bhardwaj and Dr. Rajbeer Singh, the Programme Officers from different Units of Univerrsity of Jammu.
